A Bad Feeling
The server froze in confusion. This was a completely unusual request, one that she was afraid to accept. Just what were the men asking? They nodded towards the bar office area, indicating they wanted to pay the bill in privacy. The server’s eyes glanced around in a panic, looking for her manager so he could come with her. She had a really bad feeling about this request. She did not want to be alone in the office with these men.

The server’s name was Ashley Latella and that night, she was working the night shift at the Seagrape Cafe in Fairfield. She was aware of a particular group of men that sauntered in during her shift, but she didn’t really stop to look at them as the Cafe was full to capacity and she was run off her feet keeping up with the orders. The night would proceed as usual, with plenty of drinking, dancing, and animated conversations.
